Is Vonage safe from the NSA ?
I have one Vonage phone and one ATT phone. If Vonage is safe I will switch my other line over to them as a protest. Anyone know?

All internet traffic can be monitored.

The only to have a reasonable chance of keeping your privacy is to encrypt everything.

3. I use Vonage and was cut off the other night while bashing bu$h
I was talking on the phone with family and we were ranting about bu$h when I noticed some clicks while on the phone.
I continued to talk and rant for a few minutes then suddenly the phone went dead.

I call the person back and we talked about it saying that the bu$h regime must not have liked what we were saying.

Is Vonage safe?... I doubt it.

4. Did you continue your rant?
If so did they hang up on you again?

Just wondering?

5. that is some major tin foil there
you honestly believe that someone was monitoring your call in a 'live' state and then cut off that one call only to allow you to call again a few seconds later? Please tell me you don't really believe that. Because if you do, you have a seriously over-inflated sense of your own 'importance'.

Do you know ANYTHING about how VoIP works and why you might have lost your connection?
