For those that have "nothing to hide"
When some idiot posts up they have "nothing to hide", then tell them this:

"Post up your SSN, DL #, date of birth, and mother's maiden name...NOW...you coward."

1. The same logic can be said for the NSA
If they have nothing to hide, why not fully divulge what they are monitoring? Surely there are not tens of millions of Al'Qaeda here in the USA. Why not allow investigations? Why shut down the probe that was going on?

If they have nothing to hide, why are they so intent on keeping everything secret?

4. the problem with that thinking - when govts get facistic its not what you
do that gets you in trouble - ITS WHO YOU KNOW.

You might think you're a good American and not a "terrorist." But what about your cousin? Your daughter? What about another person in your neighborhood association or fellow political campaign volunteer worker? Suppose any of them were a Quaker or member of PETA (which has already classed as "terrorist or terrorist supporters")

That's what I plan to tell my religious right republican voting Mother when I talk to her next-- she may someday be under suspicion for no other reason than she knows ME.

And its not like the government never makes a mistake. Funny its these people who hate government the most-- now suddenly government can do no wrong and never make a mistake?

12. Or, ask them why Cheney's energy task force meeting is still secret
In a sieve-like administration, where nearly everything has been leaked thanks to infighting and turf protecting, the details and the attendees of Cheney's energy task force meeting from early 2001 still haven't made it into the public realm.

You have to wonder who was there and what they discussed, don't you? Especially with gas prices topping $3 a gallon.
