How I nailed my freeper co-worker.

We had a 'discussion' regarding the NSA spying. He listed the talking points: "Nothing to hide", helping to catch terrorists. You get the drift.

I left for lunch, pulled out the cellphone and called his desk.

Ring. Ring. "This is XXXX speaking"

I said the following:

"Bomb"
"Al Qaeda"
"Terrosit"
"Allah"

"Your now on the list XXXX, have a nice day"

5. My response to freepish friends has been...
"You realize, of course, that you are parrotting the very same things said by the KGB about their surveillance of people in the Russian Republic, right? Do you now mean to say that it was perfectly OK for the KGB to tap phones and keep track of who's been calling whom because, after all, they were at war with the west?"

It amazing just how fast those heads start to spin.

I have no quote, but it was an oft-heard assertion in my youth, justification for the Cold War and "proof" of how bad was Communism.

24. Do you have three-way calling on your phone?
Try this variation of a prank I used to pull when I was in Elementary school.

1) Call "The Holy Land Foundation."
(See: Muslim Charity Indicted on Terrorism Charges http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,127164,00.html )

2) While the phone is ringing, click-over and dial your Bush-Apologist friend.

3) Immediately connect the two together onto the call.

Line 1: Holy Land Foundation... praise be to Allah! How may I direct your call?
Line 2: Hello? Who is this?
Line 1: This is The Holy Land Foundation. How may I help you?
Line 2: Why did you call me?
Line 1: I didn't call you. You called me.
Line 2: No I didn't.
Line 1: Well, I didn't call you.
Line 2: Is this some kind of joke?
Line 1: The Eagle drowns at midnight.
Line 2: Excuse me?
Line 1: The Eagle drowns at midnight. That's the counter-sign. You said, "Is this some kind of joke."
Line 2: The what?
Line 1: Oh, what in Allah's name have I done! (Click)

50. Well, in Elementary school I did it to my classmates...
connecting two peope who hate one another on 3-way calling.

Or two people in my class at random and then listening-in.

Connecting Republicans to suspected terrorist sympathizers is a new twist I just thought-up.

Here's another way to get him, print the following out and ask him to sign:

I, , do give up all my Constitutional rights* necessary in support of the Federal Government's 'War on Terror'. I freely give up these rights indefinitely no matter if a Republican or a Democrat is the President. I will not criticize the President no matter their party as long they are fighting the 'War on Terror'.

I meant that even misspelled or mispronounced words could get someone nabbed by some kind of listening program, like someone going at the airport saying, "Hi, Jack!" or my friend is "Al Kay, duhhhh!"

Edited on Fri May-12-06 04:59 PM by OnionPatch
Someone I heard on a local radio show asked if we ever thought about how nice it would be to be able to tap someone's phone, like, say, Bill Gates and be able to get insider tips on the stock market, company secrets, etc.

I can hear the freepers now: "Oh, no one in the Bush administration would ever do anything so dishonest!" ....Right.

Edited to add: Of course they would never spy on their political enemies, either, right? :eyes:

41. That's what I've been thinking about.
Or could someone get access and begin to sell generalized records of the types of businesses called in a town? Could generalized info of this nature be used at a later date to determine what locals in a certain radius rely on the most?

I know I didn't explain it well but the thought's been running across my mind for the past day or so.

I'm like, good luck keeping those guns. The constitution is only as strong as it's weakest held item or amendment.

As of this administration, it is meaningless - Better pay NRA the big bucks so they can continue to bribe the WH.

46. Another one to use on them is ask them if they know every single
law and ordinance on the books - are they sure they haven't violated anything, not a single thing, in the 50 volume U.S. code the multivolume State Code, the city ordinances, etc.

Ask them if they would really, honestly, let a cop come into their house and search it. They wouldn't call a lawyer of course. Just sit there and watch the cop go through everything in their house. Every drawer. Every closet. Picture the cop making comments about some of it.

The trouble with these people is they lack imagination and need to have it guided for them.
