Bush numbers nose diving, Fitzgerald subpoenas,
Impeachment arriving, Colbert’s bitter teases.
O’Reilly’s falafel, Oxycontin stings,
These are a few of DU’s favorite things.

Missteps by Bill Frist, Duke Cunningham’s capture,
McCain smooches Falwell, just Dems at the Rapture.
Ann Coulter in trouble for bad vote this spring,
These are a few of DU’s favorite things.

Spy guys are busted, Kate Harris disasters,
Gay marriage condemned then they’re caught shortly after.
Heckuva job, Brownie, just wait till Jack sings,
These are a few of DU's favorite things. . .

When the Veep shoots,
When Bush tax cuts,
When the war drives me mad,
I simply remember my favorite things, and then I don’t feeeeeel so bad!
