Posse Comitatus...There is talk about using the Military to guard borders.
Lou Dobbs just brought this up. This makes me very nervous. They are not talking about State Guard Troops which I could accept, but Federal Troops. Does anyone feel as nervous as I do about this?

CNN's Poll of the day is asking this question on the bottom right at http://cnn.com

1. Notice the Terminator's position
he opposes the National Guard and wants Federal troops. Well they wanted to do this in NOLA. They will try again. If they succeed, the coup is complete.

5. It will be Illegal to use Federal Troops in this situation.
State Natl. Gaurd of Border States will most likely perform this task for a few months.

Busholini is desperately trying to shore up his base.

4. Their legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin just responded...
he said posse comitatus only applies to active troops not the guard.

Soon Rumsfeld will be running our local sheriffs offices.

So we'll be firing on Mexicans? Arresting them?

10. WRONG - Posse Comitatus protects U.S. Citizens.
The military will protect against illegals, who are NOT U.S. citizens. Now if the military made arrests in U.S. cities, well yes, then we have a problemo.

11. Good point, except
The military can't act against US citizens... unless you are declared an enemy combatant. Then all bets are off.

How long 'til peace activists that proved aid to illegal immigrants are declared "enemy combatants" for providing aid and comfort to "the enemy"?

Would people that violate a national curfew (or quarantine) be automatically considered enemy combatants? ("Well, if they were law abiding citizens they wouldn't have been outside, so they got shot")

What about people demonstrating or writing about the administration? What's that phrase the Chinese government likes to use? Anti-party, anti-social activities?
