If Rove has been indicted, how come not one word in the media
Even Fauk would have it has a headline, but not one word from the main media groups? Are they waiting for a press conference?

31. Maybe Fitz is testing the public reaction on DUers.
If we can't handle it, he won't ever tell anyone else in the media. Yeah! That's the ticket!

2. Unsubstantiated leaks so far...no official notice.
After the Dan Rather thing, how many major media outlets do you think are eager to jump on something this flimsy...especially when there will be a formal announcement sometime this week if it's true?

there could be many reasons. Plea dealings, professional courtesy to the WH, The big media talking heads don't come back to work until Sunday, Media is still getting talking points from WH, etc.

9. There are some problems with the article...it's vague, for one thing...
but I won't say that it's purposefully vague.

First, the article says that Rove has been given 24 hours "to get his affairs in order."

In in order for what? Announcement of the indictment? Arrest?

I'm with the handful of other DUers who said that there's just too much that's not making sense in the article.

When exactly was Rove indicted? Friday, while Fitz met over half a day, no--15 hours, no--all day, with Rove's lawyers? While the GJ discussed "other matters?" Last week? Not yet?

I want as badly as anyone for Rove to be indicted. But I'm just not going to believe it from the story that's been presented.

Some of you really should quit attacking people who utilize critical thought when they read ANY source, whether MSM or left-slanted net journal.

Let the tirades begin.

45. And look at the charges and sources.
The sources (half-dozen White House aides and two senior officials who work at the Republican National Committee) said he was charged with perjury and lying to investigators but they don't know if he was charged with obstruction of justice. Why would they only know two of the charges and not the third? Why would eight (presumed GOPers) leak this to Leopold?

Strange, huh?

11. When Libby was indicted...
The original grand jury was down to their last day - literally. So, even the Corporate Media knew something was going to happen.

And, Fitzgerald had a press conference to announce the indictments.

Jury meets for 30 minutes this Friday. He says that this is the same thing that happened with Scooter Libby and that the press conference announcing the indictment was a week later.

Most of the sat pm shows are taped, and none are probably equipped to go live with anything last minute, or any film.

But the sunday pundits will have read truthout and someone will spill. Can't wait to see.
