DU and the coming Rove Indictment.
I believe the Plame threads in 2003 provided valuable information that may have helped keep the case alive and perhaps contributed to questions that have led to this moment. I also think that the "Waterman Paper" and American Judas" posted here in 2003 will prove to be prescient. Will anyone who has folllowed this from the beginning be surprised if Dickisakiller Cheney resigns due to health problems before summer?

1. I've had that very thought, especially since Fitz has the Wilson
article with Cheney's notations all over it. I hope if this plays out that way, he still gets in a heap of trouble.

2. How did Fitz obtain that? Libby? I've posed the same question on
several posts, and so far no takers.

:hi: babylonsister! Good day, huh?

6. I first read it here, in Isikoff's article; must have come from Libby.

And yes, Sara, this next week will undoubtedly prove to be very interesting! :hi: Today was good, further confirmation will be the best! I have no doubt it's on it's way though. :D

9. FWIW I responded with my speculation to another poster who had the
same question: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=364&topic_id=1178871&mesg_id=1180663

One way or another, gotta figure it was part of the stuff the WH/OVP turned over to Fitz.

5. Let's See If There's An Indictment and What It Says
Sorry to piss in the punchbowl, but except for the Truthout story, I haven't seen a blog or other source I consider reliable that is claiming Rove has been indicted or that it's going to happen tomorrow or next Wednesday or ever. This reminds me of all the excitement over the original Fitzmas last summer...one site was claiming not just Libby but Rove and others were going to be indicted as well...and that the case against Libby would cover over 20 counts. Reality did't quite measure to all those expectations and this place became a morgue for the first couple days afterwards...like someone had made a promise and fudged on it.

While others enjoy the speculation game here, I'll wait and see. We have very little confirmed information other than Rove's court appearances...Fitzgerald has said nothing else...all that's been written has been speculation and, in some cases, wishful hoping.

There'll be no one happier to see Rove frog-marched out and put on trial...but seeing is believing and I've seen a lot of high expectations in my years around this place go from boom to bust. For those who like playing that game...enjoy!

7. There have been periods of high expectations that were put on hold, but
I have also felt a sense of inevitability and that Fitzgerald has built his case without regard to the timing, but with regard tobasing it on accurate information. I have felt some disappointment in that I wanted to see Rove frog marched before the 2004 election, and even now it is possible that the Rove indictment will drag out, especially if he arranges a plea in order to nail Cheney.

Whatever the timing it will not be pleasant for the Bush admin I think.

11. It will be a curiously call from Fritz
Just as we saw Fritz provide professional curiously towards Dick and Chimpy, interviewing them in their offices, I imagine he’ll once again extend the same curiously.

He’ll simply call Cheney on the phone, inform him I plan to take X,Y, & Z to the Grand Jury tomorrow, would you rather step down first.

14. Someone Said The Minute You See or Heare Something It Is
Already Moving Into the Past.

Hence I choose to think Cheney is already gone.
