Pastor charged after spanking girl for revealing sexual abuse

An Illinois pastor is charged with misdemeanor battery after allegedly spanking a 13-year-old girl because he didn't believe her story of sexual abuse.

Her mother doubted the claims of abuse by a relative and had taken the girl to the pastor for counseling. Police in suburban Chicago say he struck her with a piece of wood hard enough to cause bruises and welts.

Officials believe the girl's allegations and have charged a 33-year-old man with abusing the girl for about a year and a-half starting in September 2003.

1. brand x fundies are hypocritcal, pathological, and mentally ill.
If this girl were a relative of mine, I'd beat that pastor into the next f*ing world....and shove a bible up his arse.

This is unbelievable. Fucking misdemeanor battery? WTF?
