CA Gov race - Westly Goes negative - big surprise
Not. :eyes:

So much for his promise to run a clean campaign. Thanks Steve, for serving up a wedge issue for the GOP. I'm going to redouble my phone banking and precinct work over the next few weeks, to do my little part to make sure Angelides gets the win in June. Westly can go back to selling Pez dispensers on Ebay.

Westly Ad Slams Angelides on Tax Hike Issue
State controller appears to break his vow not to be the first with a spot attacking rival by name.
By Michael Finnegan, Times Staff Writer
May 13, 2006

<snip>The angry denunciations that have riven the Democratic contest for governor broke onto the television airwaves Friday night as state Controller Steve Westly started broadcasting an ad pounding rival Phil Angelides for supporting higher taxes.

<snip>Westly's spot appeared to break his pledge not to be the first candidate in the June 6 primary to run an ad attacking his opponent by name. With the election just over three weeks away, Westly's move was aimed at stopping Angelides, the state treasurer, from gaining a decisive edge in a race with no clear front-runner and a large bloc of undecided voters.

1. There are 8 Candidates on the Democratic Ticket running Cal Gov.
But who would even know this in the media. The so called "debate" that San Francisco's PBS station KQED sponsored and broadcast the other night was a joke, and they (KQED) refused to allow the other canidates in the debate. So Californians are stuck with the classic ANNOINTED candidates CHOSEN by the ESTABLISHMENT, NOT the people of California.

Here is the full list of candidates in order of how they are listed on the Ballot which is in my hand now.

Steve Westly
Frank A. Macaluso, Jr.
Phil Angelides
Jerald Robert Gerst
Vibert Greene
Barbara Becnel
Joe Brouillette
Michael Strimling

Ever hear of any of these others in the Media? FUCK NO!

And no thanks to DiFi and Boxer, the impression most people had was that Angelides was the only contender worth considering. Westly has put a wrench into that perception but the Media complicit with the state party establishment has completely disregarded and misrepresented the full breath of the race.

I'll be doing my own research on the others, i don't like Angelides or Westly. The debate was lame and both of them are nothing but big business shills. Angelides is a shill for Big Real Estate Developers which few people seem to realize and Westly's back ground speaks for itself.

:argh:
