5. Gore's only passionate and adequate speech in 2000
was his concession speech. He let us down big time. He had the capabilities and the passion, but he didn't project it until his concession speech. He's a great guy, an intellectual with a social conscience, but he chose not to pull it off with a Texas rich boy politician as his opponent.

17. Nah. I don't think so. You obviously didn't hear ALL of his speeches..
As he was passionately, practically begging for people to not vote for bush. Remember his, "I will work for you!!!" speeches? YOu can't get much more passionate than that.

8. anyone notice the Pat Fitzgerald lookalike in
the restaurant scene? I did a doubletake, he sure caught my eye, interesting coincidence.

I couldn't believe my eyes seeing My President doing the opening skit, it was beautiful! Just what I needed.

11. With all the "incisive" political humor...
at the expense of the buttheads running things these days... Other things are funny too, but it's the political humor that pleases me the most!

10. Their parody of the government's editing of Scientific Reports...
was classic--alas, it wasn't a 'parody', it was an accurate re-enactment of what they do. The document all blacked out except the words "drive" "large" "SUV" "alot" or whatever the exact words were... what a gas!

15. westcoasters! whole hours behind...
the times? ;-) Doesn't that mean if it happens here, it doesn't happen there for several hours? (duh; that'd be an example of the average republican's understanding of science)
 <--I guess I should admit I've been called "self-amusing" (ouch)
