4. They are just re-reporting the truth out report
Im waiting and seeing. Some things don't ring true in the truthout report (i.e. 15 hour meeting to discuss charges).

Got my fingers crossed, but Im a bit skeptical until I see a 2nd source.

8. It used to be that it was assumed
that any story a journalist wrote had at least two verifiable sources contained in it. Named or not. I'll give Truthout the benefit of the doubt and assume the same about their standards. They seem to be "old school". We can hope.

12. I'm not skeptical
I think it's straight on. That said, I have a rule about having two independent reports and everything I've seen just keeps circling back to the Leopold article so I have to wait before I can spread this far and wide.

7. It appears that Yahoo is covering it's bases
They can say that they were the first MSM to "report" the news. And if by some wild chance, it doesn't come about, they can say they were just passing along some rumor.

9. Yahoo is just a news aggregator
They reprint whatever's available from their roster of sources, regardless of the content.

10. well, yahoo/reuters accuracy leaves a little to be desired
http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20060514/ts_nm/bush_leak_cheney_dc_1

"In the article, Fitzgerald wrote he went to Niger in 2002 at the CIA's request to check out reports that the African nation had sold uranium yellowcake to Iraq in the late 1990s. The processed ore can be used to make a nuclear weapon."

Fitzgerald wrote an article about going to Niger?

11. It's good-- the louder the blogosphere buzz
the harder it is for the MSM to ignore.
