Poll question: Human society should be stuctured thusly:
The health and happiness of all should be the top priority.

Commerce should be an enjoyable endeavor, fair to all.

War will become unnecessary.

Greed will be obsolete.

From here, mankind can chart a magnificent future.

Who the hell needs a new Buick every year?

We need a major shift in thinking/doing - in realizing our unlimited potential.

We are so on the wrong track.

Agree?

The health and happiness of the biosphere should be the top priority. The health and happiness of humanity runs a close second, given the general species imperative after the obvious primacy of the biosphere.

Commerce is necessary insofar as it allows us to efficiently share resources around the planet.

War is an abomination.

Greed is a throwback to more primitive behavior patterns.

Given humankind's abilities, it is our duty to the biosphere to explore and eventually devise ways to duplicate our biosphere on other planets and eventually other star systems.

7. I call it the Star Trek vs Star Wars existence
what you describe is the Star Trek way of life, where everything is geared towards individual improvement.

The Star Wars existence is the Evil Empire mentality that we're heading towards right now. :-(
