I just talked to Mike Webb (recently fired liberal talk show host)...

He is doing okay but he didn't deserve this. What ever happened to being Innocent until proven guilty in this country? Mike got into a car accident and then next thing he knows he got fired and he didn't commit any felony or any crime for that matter. This is a bogus claim, and it really looks like the SPD has a vendetta against him. And while I'm ranting about this what about Tom Delay who is still a US congressmen and Rush who admittedly was doing his show on drugs. This is insane. All this is over $5000 that he didn't even receive from the insurance company.

Help me help Mike get his job back. KIRO checks their mail so send their program director an email telling them what you think of this. kiromanager@entercom.com If they get enough mail, they will act. (please excuse the poor grammar, I'm just real pissed off right now. I'm in rant mode. We have all been there.)

If not, I believe Washington has an "at will" employment policy. A reason for termination is not needed.

He talked a little bit about 1090am and how they are kinda looking for a local guy but he didn't seem to interest. He really wants to stay with KIRO I think. I didn't since extreme anger in his voice when I talked to him but more just a bumbed out feeling. I think he just wants his job back.

You know, making lemons into lemonade thing, but I believe it is probably more important at this point that he clear his name. This is very strange.

The FCC requires (My understanding of this comes from Guy James and his experiance with a radio station) radio and TV stations to read and archive LETTERS while emails are nothing more that whisps of digital air.

Seriously. While certain emails may be read at certain times by certain people who may have a certain interest letters are read all of the time.

EDIT: I'm trying to find the relevant FCC rule...

I used to listen to Mike (comes on too early for me) and enjoyed the show and how he would get the rightwingers. :( And yes they would get him but not Rush for illegal drugs.
