A little help from our Canadian friends about Immigrating to your great

Country.

I live in Michigan and plan on Immigrating next fall after my son graduates. Does one have to be related to sponsor an Immigrant and if you do could you tell me another way to Immigrate other than just crossing the border and not coming back.
I will have the money that seems to be required to enter. I thought of claiming fear of Religious persecution since I am an Atheist and my current in-laws have been really giving it to me since they found out my stance on their great Jesus.
My Divorce from a Religious nut should be final by time my son graduates next Summer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you or your son interested in having him enroll in a Canadian college? That is certainly one avenue to explore, and would provide a bridge to moving and joining the culture there.

My advice is enroll in University full time
(9 credits per semester) you will be able to
work at a job without a permit.

You could be in Canada for ten years as a student
with no problem.

Glad I found out about the Religious persecution.

I now know that I and most of my family qualify. What a relief! We're moving to Seattle next month but if necessary........ As one of my partners quipped, "Seattle, It's Almost Canada!"

Honestly, I will stay and fight as long as I can but I have to think about my family as well. It's good to know the options, though, Canada, may not, in the end, be far enough away from this monstrosity we've become.

No, one better, let's become this giant North, Middle and South American (The United States of CanaMex?) thing that can hopefully destroy the oligarchies and allow for a true Representative Republic. Well, thanks for the information, anyway. Maybe my five years of French will come in handy though I doubt it as it's been changed over to Spanish lo these twenty years. Actually, it's an ugly mixture that my fellow Mexican Americans would laugh at if they weren't so damned polite.

As you know, the first nations are kind of sovereign entities within the larger wholes. In Akwasasne, a 'reserve' actually straddles the us/canada border. A native is, by law, citizen of both countries "(3rd class, mind, but that's neither here nor there)...if you befriended some canadian indians, they might 'adopt' you or something - it would make it very messy for the nazipoohs, who undoubtedly regret not having eliminated the first nations in olden times, had not that been so damn costly, you can hear the anger in the racists' voices when they call hate radio ('if only great grampas had hitler's balls!' etc)...
