Johnny and Jerry, sitting in a tree
preaching "Under god, you must follow me."
the GOP's candidate, he might be,
and loss the election, generally.

Jerry and Johnny, the newest evil twinsome,
preying on the deaf, the blind and the dumb
self-righteously claiming that they own this god
and kneeling together like peas in a pod.

SO Jerry invited 150 christian leaders to support Johnny S&L McCain as an example of being reborn again, eh?
Makes me laugh so hard that really pathetic, Vogon-like micturating poetry just dribbles forth from my fingers.
Think of it as the agnostic version of talking in voices.

So McCain claims that relativism is dangerous. Iraq is a binary solution - either you are with McCain and pro war, or you are wrong.
I suspect that McCain's closet advisors erred, and erred greatly. They looked at the 2000 game plan and thought they could update it by going to the right, grabbing Bush's core morans, and adopt them while taking over the GOP. They thought wrong.
The religious right abandoned Bush; they will never trust McCain. Evern worse for this dude, the remaining part of the country does not want or support the war. By buying off the Jerryites, all he has done is dig himself a grave, even though he doesn't recognize it yet.

He has blown it, something we can all give praise for.
