Newt Gingrich in MTP: Hussein involved with Al Queda
Just said it like it was a fact - talked about those generals' papers that have been shown to be debunked.

Russert just let it sit out there as if it were true - did not ask for any evidence, or tell him that the general was found to not be able to have that info.

The MSM got their talking points from Mehlman of the RNC this morning.

18. The MSM just let Bushbots spew anything and never challenge them
the loss of our nation is largely due to the owned and controlled media. Had any anti-Bushbot said that he would have been challenged eventhough such a statement supports the lies Bushbots have stated. It's all about who is saying something, not what they are saying. I think Newt could have said that Russert's mother was dating John Kerry and Russert would have let it go unchallenged.

4. The only thing Russie tried to nail Newt down on
was whether he was running for Prez in '08 or not. Oh, can he wanted to know he would hang out with Hillary. :eyes:

Nice media we got, here, gang.

5. How many times do we have to debunk this bullshit?
and, if you know how often I swear, you'd know how pissed I am over this...

I guess this will still be going on in 10 years, however. After all, we still have to debunk the myth that the Sudan offered Osama's head on a platter to Clinton at least two times.

9. I couldn't believe he tried to push that tired old lie
And he brought up the $25,000 paid to families of suicide bombers like it was some horrendous indicator of Saddam being a terrorist himself. :eyes:

20. Wasn't that funny?? He was slurring
and was combative towards Hannity.

But then the next day, on Hannity's show, they made nice together again, and Newt got back in line on the NSA domestic spying.

22. THIS is the one where I yelled at the TV!! WHY are such LIES left
unchallenged??

Then, when we invade Venezuela (and Chavez thinks it's a possibility), the sheeple will have been prepared by such LIES.
And their sons will DIE.

16. HERE'S THE TEST: WHY didn't Newt nclude that info in HartRudman Report
Edited on Sun May-14-06 12:18 PM by blm
on Global Terror that HE HELPED COLLECT INFORMATION for two and a half years?

Don't let this type of BS slip by DU.

Russert is a TOOL for BushINc lies and NEVER brings up the facts as known in the HartRudman Report that was HANDED to Bush on Jan 30, 2001.

17. Newt also said the NSA stuff was "perfectly legal"
which also went completely unchallenged by Russert. Disgusting. I saw Bob Schieffer and his show was excellent with lots of discussion from Jane Harmon and Arlen Spector about the legality, Congressional oversight, etc. Schieffer made Russert look like the complacentand complicit sack of potatoes he is.

19. Timmmmeeehhhhh!
While perusing my local bookstore I saw somebody had faced out this book in the gay fiction section.

I didn't move it, and now I regret it. My inaction will cause someone to get home with the book and be rather disappointed.
On the topic of Newt, he knows the Republicans need to spin themselves 2x as hard as they did in 2004, he's just giving his team the BS boost we should all expect.
Furthermore we can't depend on talking heads to fight for us. How much airtime is our point of view getting this Sunday, as opposed to the turd polishers brigade?
