Poll question: Will you not discuss politics when you call Mom today?
Edited on Sun May-14-06 10:09 AM by zulchzulu

Your call to Mom may be bugged for "patterns" by the Bush administration and the NSA. What will you do?

2. My mom is a die-hard Reagan conservative...
I will not ruin her Day by discussing the flaws of the Bush administration.

3. No, but I wish I could
It hurts me that my parents are 2 of the 3 people out of 10 that still support *.

7. That sucks. My mom isn't pro-Bush, but she is a Republican
and hates discussing politics with me. I think she feels I care about it too much and it tires her or something.;(

4. My mom was one of the original "Another Mother for Peace"
during the Vietnam "conflict" when my brother was there. She's deceased now, & I miss her terribly. There's no one like a mom. She would have been outraged to at the abuses of this administration. She would be on the phone everyday to her representatives. And she would be writing long letters in that beautiful handwriting of hers. She was a great role model.

6. Other.
Mom's already a diehard Democrat. But this day is about her. Not politics. :-)

8. My conversation with mom...
will go something like this:

Hi Mom, Whoopi Goldberg.
How are you? Girl on girl action.
Oh, good, good to hear. Yellowcake.
Just wanted to say Happy Mothers day. Nuclear.
Ok, well I'll see you a little later today. Fuck you Bush!

9. Will I?
Too late, I already have.

It was fun to tell them about Rove and Cheney. My dad's going to check out today's NYT's article about Cheney that I told him about.

10. Mom is gone.
but I don't think I ever talked politics with her in my life. Just wasn't done. Kind of like talking about a yeast infection.

Which is a great metaphor for our current administration.

12. Politics makes up about 60% of what my daughter & I chat about
She makes comments to try and draw eavesdroppers into the conversations. She's very inclusive and polite that way ;)
