Could it be Fitz releasing Cheney Scribblings late Friday was Caluculated
Edited on Sun May-14-06 12:06 PM by KoKo01
Fitz is holding off on ANNOUNCING the INDICTMENT that he already has which is calculated to allow the press to focus on the news about Cheney/NSA Spying and force Bush to have to do something about getting Rove out of the White House this week. After all how can Rove keep his office in the White House if he's indicted? They will have to hustle him out of there in the dark of night or announce he's taking a "much needed vacation," to cover up that he's been indicted but the public doesn't yet know.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out this week. And, if Fitz has just pulled the most incredible play to allow Cheney news to seep into American's brains so that when Rove's indictment is announced
much later folks have had time to "connect the dots" rather than having it come out on Friday when folks were just learning about NSA Spying and the RW would have gone on the attack that Fitz was doing a "witch hunt" against Rove.

Interesting times...

1. It looked like a typical news dump to me
waiting until Friday, when folks are out doing the grocery shopping, catching up on the week's housework, yard work and car repair, and generally not paying attention to the news. By Monday it'll be ho-hum old news.

That's why it's a little puzzling that the news of Rove's indictment hasn't hit the MSM yet.

It's hard to think they're extending that colossal scumbag the courtesy of getting his affairs in order (ie shredded) before the announcement is made.

2. Fitz is nothing if not professional
He is not motivated by politics, just by the exigencies that are.

5. I think in this case that it was Fitz who put the info out on his website
late Friday night. At least that's what one article said. I think the MSM got it from Fitz's website where he had to release information in his case against Libby.

8. Could this be a Republican tactic
to release such a story and have the "liberals" celebrate a fictional story, which would embarrass the Democrats..Can't you just hear Rush Slimebaugh now......Just how credible is the Truthout news anyway??

9. No....I don't believe Truth Out, Leopold or Pitt are Repugs.....
I believe that Fitz has the Indictment sealed and doesn't have to announce it to the public until he's good and ready. I could be wrong about this but I'm going with Leopold's article which didn't say WHEN Fitz would announce but that he had the indictment. I speculated about the brilliance of Fitz holding off announcing the indictment possibly to see how the Bushies will handle getting Rove out of the WH.

Just speculation for a different angle rather than having everyone fight with each other about the issue.

3. How do you know Fitz released the photo of the article with the notes?
It doesn't fit the description of him. It seems as though any leaks are coming from client lawyers. And arent't some of the documents available through normal filing channels?

4. My understanding is that the judge required the gov't to share
with the defense certain evidence intended for use at trial. It's all a consequence of legal requirements for shared discovery.
