A couple of interesting commercials on Sunday's talk shows...
On Face the Nation, Verizon had one of their commercials in the middle of the show. Wonder if it was scheduled to run earlier or they bought it just in the last week in an attempt to influence coverage of the Telcoms in the NSA scandal?

And on MTP with Russert, CITGO ran a commercial. Now this one was difficult to figure out. CITGO is owned by Venezuelan oil company, I thought? Aren't they enemies of George W Bush and America? Commercials can tell us a lot if we watch closely.

1. Maybe they just wanted to get their commercial message out
in front of the Bushco/Russert audience.

2. There is a saying...
Business be Business, and *F--king* be Cash. Do you really think they care where the dollars come from? I don't, but then I'm a cynic.

3. Ha....Phone Co's are blitzing. Josh Marshall's TPM has a Bell South Ad
right under his post about Cheney's notes on the Wilson editorial. I had to laugh when I saw that. :D Bell South figured advertising on a liberal web site would be a good thing? It's more likely to make us all the more angry...but their PR dept. must see it as "damage control."
