They are not all politically correct, but we are a diverse party, and I want to attempt to take some of the sting out of the Right Wing bullshit.

I've posted this on DU before. I know a guy that is 450 or so pounds & has all the related health issues... he's stuck in a crappy dead end job with crappy health insurance...He's up to his eyeballs in debt.... he's pro choice, and would take pre-marital sex in a heartbeat if given the opportunity... he should be a tailor-made Democratic voter.

But, he loves his guns. And, Democrats have been so demonized by the NRA & the Republicans for 30+ years now that he won't even consider voting Democratic because we're the party that threatens to take away his guns. I've had a few DUers tell me to have him try this website or this group, but this guy won't even listen if he hears the word "Democrat"... they are the Gun Grabbing Demons, and it will take a HUGE change for him to even start to listen to a Democrat that is pro-gun.

Take out some ads pointing out "Sarah Brady is a registered Republican"

the talk-up-hunting-while-demonizing-nonhunters strategy in 2000 and 2004 backfired very badly but very predictably...

Dems and the Gun Issue - Now What?

It appears that the party leadership is now beginning to understand the issue a bit better, though...



The new head of the Brady Campaign is also a Republican.

They and the VPC are the best recruiting tools the repubs have...

I've had this one below for almost two years and the sales on it alone are pretty steady. I forget who it was but someone on DU had ask if anyone could make a Christian Democrat sticker. It can only help to have more out there.

Too bad I don't have a car to put it on. :(
