From IMDb:

Engrossing, underrated sci-fi, 9 April 2005
8/10

From Ray Bradbury's novel about totalitarian society that has banned books and printed words in order to eliminate independent thought; Oskar Werner plays professional book-burner who becomes enraptured with stories. Possibly a bit too thin at this length, but a fascinating peek at a cold future(which the times have just about caught up to). Didn't get a warm reception from critics in its day, yet the performances by Werner and Julie Christie(in a dual role as both Werner's wife and his rebel girlfriend)are top notch. I was never a fan of director Francois Truffaut's too-precious stories of childhood, but this film, curiously his only English-language picture, is extremely well-directed; the sequence with the woman and her books afire is one amazing set-piece, with tight editing, incredible and precise art direction, and the camera in all the right places. Truffaut lets you feel the agony of book paper curling up black in a mass of orange flames, and the proud defiance of the woman as she herself strikes the match. Unforgettable.

Back to me... If you haven't seen this... See it. Bradbury's vision is nicely realised.

Mark Cuban, a ‘dot com’ Millionaire and a Real Maverick, Knows How To Liven Up the Blogosphere
By Rick Smith, LocalTechWire
“People who don’t whine are punching bags.” – Mavericks owner Mark Cuban

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – Here’s a tip of the hat to the NBA’s highest profile “blogger” – Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban.

The National Basketball Association slapped Cuban with a $200,000 fine this week, half the amount leveled for his daring to exercise his right of free speech. Cuban used a personal blog (www.blogmaverick.com ) to criticize the way the league utilizes officials in the playoffs.
Mark Cuban

Clad in his usual jeans, the man whose image and life certainly matches that of his team’s nickname also walked onto the court after Game 1 Sunday of the playoff series with the San Antonio Spurs trying to get the attention of the officials. That earned the rest of the fine.

"The NBA knows all, does all, and far be it for me to question any of this," said Cuban in an interview with ESPN reporter Jim Gray.

But he does question the NBA - and authority and a lot of other things. I hope Cuban keeps speaking out – not just about the NBA but life and business, too. He’s a fun read.

Cuban made his fortune as a “dot com” genius by building Broadcast.com (sold to Yahoo! in 1999; he bought the Mavericks in January of 2000) and now is deeply involved in HDTV over the net with HDNet (www.hd.net ).

When not running his new venture or sitting/standing/cheering/yelling courtside at the Mavericks’ bench, , he sounds off quite often via his blog. And it makes for entertaining reading, although the words are not quite as strong as his comment that he wouldn’t hire the head of NBA officials to manage a Dairy Queen. That drew a $500,000 fine.

7. I think he's done a lot for the move to HDTV.
He has quite a following on places like avsforum.com or hometheaterspot.com
