Colbert and 9/11...
Edited on Sun May-14-06 06:58 PM by mikelewis
The top two videos on Goggle's video Top 100 are...

Colbert Roasts President Bush - 2006 White House Correspondents Dinner
24 min 10 sec
An excerpt from the annual White House Correspondents A*sociation dinner. Comedian Stephen Colbert made humorous remarks about various current events and the relationship between the press and the Wh..

911 Loose Change 2nd Edition with extra footage
1 hr 21 min 50 sec

Isn't it Funny how the media won't talk about either of these two events and yet everyone using Google (at least 2: me and who ever posted these video links) seems to really, really, really want to see them. If you haven't seen the Colbert roast yet, I gotta tell you, it was well worth watching. The 9/11 video is well... not funny and unpatriotic, in my opinion.

This spoof of such a tragedy seems in poor taste and I definitely do not recommend anyone else waste their time watching it. Basically, if you watch this video, you hate America and love terrorists. That's all I'm saying.

http://video.google.com/videoranking

Don't bother clicking on the second ranked video. Seriously, it's not funny.

1. If you're talking about the Loose Change video I know of...
I don't think it's intended as a spoof.

5. I think the video'loose change' is a very good work of all
the pictures and interviews of 911. I was out of the country at that time and I missed the immediate reports on the news. Before watching :loose change" I knew as millions do know that the buildings were demolished by planted explosives and several other things that were not in the news here. The video is an "eye opener".

6. Agreed...
You can't watch it and not question the banquet of B.S. we've been fed on 9/11.

11. You never hear about the wargames or news reporting on them on 9-11.
Strange news blackout, huh ? Vigilant Warrior, Vigilant Guardian, Northern Guardian, Northern Vigilance, Tripod II, and the CIA's plane into building exercise...MSM won't discuss. Why ? BTW, Ptech (now called GoAgile) still works for the WhiteHouse and federal DoD etc. projects.

3. I have alerted the mods
"if you watch this video, you hate America and love terrorists." is calling someone out

What about people who watch this video and don't agree with it? Do they hate America and love terrorists? What about people who are neutral about it? Also, what about people who agree with it, like me? It deserves to be shown. I don't get turned on by it, if that's what you mean. "you hate America and love terrorists" is not a legitimate form of debate. It is a tactic that Freepers use.

a take off on all those that poopoo'd Colbert by saying he wasn't funny and didn't deserve to be seen.

It was a JOKE.

15. No, it was reverse psychology
Edited on Sun May-14-06 08:06 PM by Sydnie
that's how I see it anyway. Like the threads that said "I know no one would send Ken Blackwell's campaign contribution envelope back to him empty. That just wouldn't be right to cost him that postage and not contribute, would it? So, don't anyone do it, ok?"

I have watched loose change and I thought it was well worth watching. After so many saying that Colbert wasn't worth watching "because he wasn't funny", I saw this as a come on ... to get people to watch it.

Maybe I was mistaken, but that's how I read it.

edit - missing a letter

4. Here are some quotes from Colbert during the dinner:
I believe democracy is our greatest export, at least until China figures out a way to stamp it out of plastic for 3 cents a unit.

Ambassador Jo Win Jong welcome. Your great country makes our happy meals possible.

I believe the government that governs best also governs the least. By that measure we have set up a fabulous government in Iraq.

Pay no attention to the polls that show your approval ratings at 32%. Pay no attention to those that say the glass is half empty, because at 32%, the glass is actually 2/3 empty. But the point is that there's still water in that glass... ...but I wouldn't drink it because the last 1/3 is usually back-wash.

I stand by this man because he stands for things. Not only for things, he stands on things. things like air craft carriers and rubble, and recently flooded city squares. And that sends a strong message, that no matter what happens to America, she will always rebound with the most powerfully staged photo ops in the world.

I'm appalled to be here among the national media who always have a liberal bias, except for Fox news, who presents both sides of the story: The President's side, and the Vice President's.

Over the last five years you people (the news media) were so good. Over tax cuts, WMD intelligence, the effect of global warming... ...we Americans didn't want to know, and you had the courtesy not to try and find out.

7. Uh, it's really too bad you have this impression...
Edited on Sun May-14-06 07:16 PM by Flubadubya
It's apparent that you have lumped the Loose Change clip into the same genre (or category) as the Colbert clip. Just because they share proximity on the Google list certainly doesn't make them both "spoofs". If you watched Loose Change expecting it to be a "spoof" then I can certainly understand your confusion.

Please be assured, Loose Change is NOT a spoof... it is deadly serious stuff. Watch it again with a new perspective and see what you think.

12. Sorry, Loose Change is bullshit
I can believe the bush administration thought they could afford to let some kind of terrorist act take place in order to kick start PNAC, but all that nonsense about explosives and remote controlled airplanes is pure, unfiltered, straight from Farmer John's field bullshit.

I think almost everyone on this thread so far is completely misinterpreting what the OP is trying to say, and I find that kind of funny.

17. ever notice...
how you can't talk about 9/11 unless of course you're not talking about it. Then you can talk about all you want. I.E. If I were to say, "People who think that 9/11 was an inside job perpetrated by a radical faction of our government to rip us off and dominate the country, are all lunatics." I'm not actually talking about 9/11 being a big fat lie, I'm talking about the crazies who believe it. Sort of like those lunatics who keep screaming about "Election Fraud"! Like what the hell is that all about? George may have inadvertently lied us into Iraq and accidentally killed thousands of people due to that inadvertent lie; but steal an election? Get real. There's no way they could steal an election, or pay for propaganda, or sit idle while New Orleans drowned or...
