Nobody handed out a script. There's no uniformity. They're all squirrelly little mouths tonight talking every which way. IMHO, they're dead.

We're gonna win big in November.

1. I missed it. Our first T-Ball scrimmage was tonight. I came home
and refreshed DU, Daily Kos, Huffington Post and I see nuttin'.

It must have been a real snoozer. No big deal. No big change. Nobody's happy.

He started early on CNN, looked like a bit of a dufus. Tweety was "offended" by the "citizenship papers" rhetoric and said Bush had used some bad rhetoric.

Did I miss anything or is this falling flat as a pancake?

3. Flat. The only faction not pissed off are the Dems.
It was just weird.

4. Everyone's finding something to dislike about it.
CNN decided to turn the night into a Bush/Lou Dobbs confrontation, and you know Lou. You can't have anyone in the room with Lou's ego.

Over on MSNBC, Olberman had a Latin comic pan it. Olberman seemed bored by it all.

Tweety got in a snit about the difference between citizenship and citizenship papers and claimed Bush had offended him (proud U.S. citizen that he is) by implying that citizenship is just about papers. No one but Tweety however was offended.

Pat Buchanan didn't like it. Tom Tancredo (whom Lou had on his show and lauded as someone who was in the "vanguard" of the immigration battle) didn't like it and reportedly said that no bill at all would be better than Bush's proposal.

Nobody liked it except a couple of White House suits.

5. Thanks for the run-down. What was the reaction of those supporting
the illegal immigrants? The people who protested, etc.?

7. They didn't get to comment.
Oh, there were a few Latinos sandwiched in between the usual gasbags, but they weren't given much time to say anything and those who did didn't seem to know what to say.

2. joemurphy, I love your phrase, "squirrelly little mouths."
Boy that just perfectly describes what's happening, too.

Bull's eye!
