How many of you are afraid of your own government?
And if you are, how do you like living in fear? Shouldn't it be the other way around?

1. Actually, I think GW probably does fear us.
But he has many tools at his disposal to allay his fears. Which is why we also fear him.

4. I am not afraid
our representatives should respect and serve all of us and the constitution of our land
and if they won't or can't uphold that simple promise... then indeed they should fear us.

5. The only thing I fear...

... is God...

There is no human worthy of fear... Only a higher-power... If someone had taught the Chimp about the fear of God, we'd all be better off right now...

6. It is not my government
It is an evil police state that steals the life blood of the people
and uses it to create prisons and mass murder people. I don't fear it,
i loathe it. The corporate states of oligarchy has achieved the
ulimate coup of identity politics to get poeple to call it "our"
government. It is no more "ours" than a starbucks outlet... the
only citizens of the new state are dollar bills, and we are just
dollar bill carriers, serfs of the new dark age.

7. Interesting question. I was inclined to say that I don't fear gov...but...
I have to admit, reading stories about average citizens being plucked from lines at airports and detained in what amount to isolation chambers, coupled with this administration's love of all things fascist - like forfeiting due process, indefinate detention without trial/hearing, makes me shudder a little bit whenever I'm told that I need to travel (I occassionally travel internationally for my job). Scary stuff.

8. You're directing your question to the wrong people, shouldn't ............
....this question be put to those who voted for ANYONE and EVERYONE other than a Democratic candidate in 2000 and again in 2004??

To directly answer your question though NO I do not fear my government. Rather I fear those who condones a fearing producing government. There is a big difference.

9. It's weird--I fluctuate between alarm and rage. Sometimes I just
get on with my life, then am reminded again how much I despise this gov't. Alarm/rage/alarm/rage:crazy:
