I just got a call from elect katherine harris dot org
Edited on Thu May-18-06 12:32 PM by bushmeat
I am on the national do not call list and have 800 blocking so I have no idea how they got through to me.

They left their call back number and email address if I want to "get involved".

Should I give her a call?

I'd post the info here but its against the rules :/

2. I think charities and political campaigns are outside of that list.
You could send her an email saying TAKE ME OFF YOUR DAMN LIST!

6. Politicians are exempt from the no call list.
They probably specifically got the list and called everyone on it because they love doing what they know everyone else can't.

9. Charities and politicians are exempt
http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/alerts/dncalrt.htm

30. Are calls from political organizations or calls soliciting for charities covered?

Political solicitations are not covered by the TSR at all, since they are not included in its definition of “telemarketing.” Charities are not covered by the requirements of the national registry. However, if a third-party telemarketer is calling on behalf of a charity, a consumer may ask not to receive any more calls from, or on behalf of, that specific charity. If a third-party telemarketer calls again on behalf of that charity, the telemarketer may be subject to a fine of up to $11,000.

18. Do not call list does not apply to charities or political calls.
which is something i agree with.
It would be like banning door-to-door canvassing. Free Speech is important. So i support it even if people are sometimes bothered, or when used by the bad guys.

20. Call them back and work in the terms
Moxie and Spunk to see if they follow the Daily Show.

For those who don't, in a report on Katherine, one of TDS' correspondents said that all she had going for her at this point were, "Moxie and Spunk," which he told us was what she had named her surgically enhanced breasts.
