I just really confused some high school kids.

I've always had a penchant for offbeat, outrageous T-shirts. Even though I don't wear them out in public that often anymore, I do wear them around the house.

So, I'm sitting here on DU, and the doorbell rings, and the dogs start going nuts. There's two high school guys at the door, and I'm trying to quiet the dogs.

The one kid says, "Hi, we're selling things and taking donations for our school's anti-drug and alcohol programs".

I turn around and I'm wearing this shirt I picked up in Cozumel a few years ago. It has the McDonalds logo, red background, and golden arches. But it says "Marijuana... over 1 billion stoned".

They just kinda mumbled something and left.

I would have shouted "NEEERRDS!" as they walked away.

Not that I'm paranoid or anything....

One day back in college a friend and I were walking out of the grocery store when a woman seated at a table with a big donation jar yells out "drugs in schools".

I turn around, whip a twenty out of my wallet and walk up to her table. After glancing at the various literature on her table I said, "Oh, your AGAINST drugs in schools?" She said "of course" so I put my money back in my pocket and walked away.

My friend told me that if looks could kill, she'd have struck me down on the spot.

Confiscating them is the only way some parents can get them.

In my high school, I'd say that maybe 10% of the kids there WEREN'T involved in some sort of substance abuse. In all likelihood, these kids were just humoring their parents/teachers/pastors.

Of course, if I'm wrong about that, I seriously weep for the future....:cry:

So you are a nerd if you don't do drugs? I guess I'm a nerd then.

It's a choice and shouldn't be anyones business but your own. I know plenty of toking nerds, and many toking people who could never be called nerds.

On the off-chance that the same thing happens to me.

As it is, my weekends are spent lounging around in my "garments" (Mormon holy underwear with Masonic symbols on them) that a friend of mine scammed from a Mormon clothing store in Salt Lake, waiting for Mormon kids to knock on the door so I can answer it holding a beer and a jelly donut.

And a Playboy.

trashbags, food, lightbulbs, but never asked for any antidrug money, I wouldn't give them any anyway.
