Did you guys see Jon make a complete fool of Ramesh Ponnuru last nite?

Ramesh Ponnuru with Jon Stewart

With the " Party of Death" highlighted in the back ground, I wonder why conservatives might think Democrats would be a little ticked off at this. Since Jane, Sullivan and I have highlighted this aspect of his book, Ramesh has been running away from it like a speeding bullet, crying that he had no control over the title or the book cover.

Stewart quickly made him look foolish and his arguments ridiculous.

3. Jon Stewart made him look silly?
Actually, I think Ramesh was doing a quite capable job of that all by himself.

5. Surely you jest
Quite a capable job of stuttering, being completely overwhelmed and outwitted and being made a fool of.

22. he led him into a trap. he asked a question tied in his own words and
the doofus was completely stumped. He just sat sputtering for a moment and never really countered it. Apparently life only matters before its born. Dim sumbitch. Too bad he can't be pregnant and get the 'whole picture.'

This way the fetus is guilty of something a right winger would find worthy of death.

My cable thingy said that Mary Cheney was going to be the guest, so I didn't bother staying up.

I guess I'll catch the rerun.

14. try reading his articles sometime
a right wing buddy gave me a subscription to The National Review last year. I always looked foreward to reading Ramesh Ponnuru's articles. He is by far their poorest writer. his only idea consists of lefty/lib bad, bad. his arguments take the typical moron-conservative form of A=B; therefore potato chips and by the way librerals are immoral and evil.

Glad to see he can think on his feet as well as he writers. John demolished this pissant without any effort at all.

20. Ramesh Ponnuru needs to sack his agent
I just saw the interview here in the UK.

WTF did he expect was going to happen by going on TDS? Did he think that Jon Stewart would suddenly become a frothing-at-the-mouth wingnut & praise his book?

The only thing that would have made the interview complete would have been Jon smacking him around the head with the book to knock some sense into the guy.

21. It was a thing of beauty! Hopefully these repukes will continue
going on TDS because it is most entertaining to see Jon ask them simple questions and them unable to answer.

I think for both Jon and Stephen the gloves are completely off.

in evisceration. Jon calmly and methodically tied him up in his own words, and left him sitting there with a bow on his head.
