How to get the pro-war crowd to contribute to the war effort
Edited on Thu May-18-06 04:54 PM by Boojatta
There is a shortage of Americans who can understand, speak, read, and write the Arabic language.

Idea: every week, beginning at 11 PM on Friday and continuing until 5 AM on Monday morning, all radio and TV broadcasts in the USA will be in the Arabic language. All subtitles or closed-captioning will also be in Arabic. The only exceptions will be for emergency broadcasts and paid commercial advertising.

This will motivate everybody (including the pro-war crowd) to learn Arabic, but nobody will be forced to learn Arabic.

The loss of broadcasts in other languages every week from 11 PM on Friday until 5 AM on Monday is a small sacrifice compared to what people in Iraq are experiencing.

1. the pro-war crowd hates Arabs...that is the reason they support the war
They would rather eat shit than learn Arabic.

2. That's okay. They can turn off their TVs and radios every Friday and
keep them off until Monday while everybody else gets motivated to learn Arabic.

3. Well...
I always supported the principle of the Iraq war, as an Egyptian who can speak Arabic. Hell, nothing would please me more than to see Mubarak in Egypt (where much of my family still lives) toppled. Problem in my eyes was that Bush was always the wrong guy to do it. He's definitely screwed things up. But what else could one expect of an idiot.

4. Does anyone oppose the proposed broadcasting language policy? e.o.m.
