Prodi says will hold to pledge to withdraw troops from Iraq

ROME - Italy’s new Prime Minister Romano Prodi told lawmakers in the Senate on Thursday that his centre-left government would maintain an election pledge to withdraw Italy’s troops from Iraq.

“The government intends to propose to parliament the return of our soldiers,” Prodi told the Senate in his first speech since being sworn in as prime minister Wednesday.

We can't be eating Italian food anymore. This may put The Olive Garden out of business. Look at all the damage the fries fiasco did to McDonald's.
