Duke Cunningham to start cooperating
Another probe in Cunningham case

By: MARK WALKER - Staff Writer

After a recent report that he was not fully cooperating with ongoing probes, Randy Cunningham is ready to assist in a new examination of congressional corruption announced by the House ethics committee this week, his attorney said Thursday.

"He will cooperate with that investigation just as he is cooperating with all the others," attorney K. Lee Blalack said of Cunningham, who is in prison after pleading guilty to accepting more than $2.4 million in bribe.

Last week, Rick Gwin of the Pentagon's Defense Criminal Investigative Service complained Cunningham had not been cooperating in the manner his agency expected following the former 50th Congressional District Republican's sentencing in March to eight years, four months in prison for bribery and tax evasion.

If I were a Repuke congressman, I would now start to get really, really worried.

17. No, I didn't.....
Guess Duncan's the black sheep then.

Let me guess, his brother was the type that helped elderly women across the street, Duncan was the type that kicked puppies and tied firecrackers to cats tails, right?

8. I hope they convict them all...
Get all the corrupt Congressional Republicans and you'll have nobody left. Fitz then can get Cheney, Rove... and have a field day with them.

In the Administration, most of these assholes should have been in prison from Iran Contra. Reagan and Bush made sure they were set free. Time to send them ALL home now.

12. Oh, wow...hookers, and limos and cronies, OH MY!!!!!
I'll bet there's some serious pucker factor happening up on the Hill as a result of this story.

Guess they told Randy precisely how much time he could shave off his sentence by being a good crooner...and how he'd have to do the full term if he didn't sing.

13. duke
This guy was a hell of a fighter ace in Viet Nam.

Too bad a guy that heroically served his country ended up like this.

Not defending his corruption, but he was one hell of a pilot.

14. I knew him in his postwar incarnation
Our paths crossed here and there. He was a complete shitheel, and that is the nicest thing I can say about him. One of those guys who likes to build himself up to tear others down. Incredibly rude and, to put it politely, CRASS, especially in his dealings with females.

It's why he never made it past 0-5. A total jerk, incredibly impressed with himself.
