Hi all,
One of the things I've been noticing these days is that if you want to get to the bottom of the corruption in the Bush Administration, you have to start at the beginning.
The beginning is the
Bush Transition Team, put together in late November, 2000. The transition team was supposed to interface with the Clinton Administration to ensure a stable bureaucratic transfer between the two administrations. Instead, it now looks as if the transition team's first duty was to case the joint. Then, it just
kept on transitioning as the Bush Administration discovered that the Senate approval process had a knack for sniffing out criminal intent.
Esteemed members of that team included
Jack Abramoff and
Patrick Pizzella.
Overall, it must have included hundreds of people. Though I cannot find the actual list, it would appear that the Department of Energy Transition Team numbered 63 people--50 of whom came from the energy supply industry.
I'm wondering if anyone has ever made a complete list of all those who participated in the transition process. In particular, I'm interested in all of the Department of the Interior transition team members, other than Mr. Abramoff.
If anyone knows anything about it, please drop me a line here, eh? Thank you.
