And not by the Dems to allow them more time to gather ammunition against Alito... But rather for the to delay the question on whether to fillibuster to the point where Dems couldn't get "revenge" by having alternative candidates running in the primaries. For example, do we really have a realistic way of challenging Diane Feinstein now in the Democratic Primary now? Had these hearings happened earlier, the campaign might have had more time to take hold by now. The timing and the way things are going down just seems to "convenient" for both corporate America to get their guy without a fight and for these incumbents to find ways to have less of a challenge in the upcoming 2006 primaries!

 :grr: :banghead:

Perhaps we can organize another "virtual" party of presently registered Democrats that could put forth alternative candidates in the upcoming primaries for those politicians that have stood in the way of the fillibuster, and have fought against us in other areas too. Then see if we can get those candidates to win. Have another "counter DLC" type of organization that looks to undo the DLC representation.

If we don't win enough primaries, then make them a third party for the general election, and invite those decent Democrats to defect (like Feingold, etc.).
