Tidbits from Tweety. (Gore, Rove news)
Watched the Tweety show just now. Very exciting -- they spent the first segment talking all about Al Gore and were pretty split down the middle about his viability v. Hillary & McCain. It made me feel good.

A chickie from the roundtable said that she did not expect a Rove indictment at all. declamation or declination or something was the word she used.

Thoughts?

1. As long as they keep the Gore talk going,
it's good. The man's not going to say a word about running for president until after November, so let people speculate either way. It's hilarious.

I can't wait to see the documentary.

mantra against Gore, and it's sickening.

All of a sudden, after weeks and weeks of Tweety enthroning Hillary as our candidate, he brings Al Gore to the forefront. I don't trust Tweety one bit and don't know what his agenda is.

I was also disappointed with David Gregory, who was basically poo pooing Gore as a candidate because he would be too Progressive. On edit.. Gregory also said no one likes to back someone who has already lost..doesn't Gregory know that Gore had the vote and it was the Supremes that sElected the Shrub????

7. The Agenda Is As Obvious As G.E.
Tweety's job is to play kingmaker or power broker on the media...a "gatekeeper" in that fishbowl of whose hot and whose not. When he gets on his Hillary jag, that's an alarm to the Repugnicans and the other people who really pay his check (through General Electric) in hopes of mobilizing them as to the fear of the evil Hillary and how it's fait acocmpli she'll be the Democratic nominee. Hillary hate has become a cottage industry of the Repugnicans and right wing and Tweety plays into the game to establish his "credentials" and keep Jack Welch and his other GE handlers happy.

Now that Gore has re-emerged, he's a true threat to the status quo...to the cozy country club, drinkie-drinkie world Tweety lives to die for...and the attacks on him at this point show how viable Gore is. Yep...be prepared for all the slams of Gore "lying", Gore being "crazy" (typical right wing stalking horse) and being the "anti-Hillary"...with Tweety's hopes that he can pit one against the other.

Of course no one should trust Tweety or virtually anyone in the corporate media. They long ago showed their true agenda...power, access, ego and money. What else is there to say?

11. You said it all! Thank you Kharma Train for an excellent response to my
question. You hit the proverbial nail on its head.

Wouldn't it be grand if someone did some real investigative reporting outting these media whores? The only problem is that the media would never allow those reports to see the light of day......

12. All You Had To Do Is Listen To Brian Ross This Morning
...and see the disdained look on Whorie Kurtz's face and that said it all. Real reporting requires guts and integrity. It gets you off the "A-List"...you don't get to go to the best parties or that "big get"...the exclusive interview with Rice or Rummy. It means taking chances with one's career and ruffling feathers. Now if you're banging down the bucks these whores are, would you give up all that easy money and good times?

13. I'm waiting for Brian Ross' interview to download right now.
BTW...it isn't in my "vocabulary" to understand how people can sell their prinicples to the highest bidder, and in doing so, selling out our country.... I think when the dust settles, those who collaberated should be held for charges of aiding and abetting. I just read a post here on DU that relates how AG Gonzo wants to arrest journalists for telling the truth, so why the hell can't we get them for telling lies and spewing propaganda?

14. The highly insulting CM asked if Gore "wasn't a few slices short of a loaf
That is verbatim was he said as a lead in to a response by Kathleen Parker who started her answer with "There are those who say . . ." I was so incensed that I shouted obscenities to the TV. How dare he (they)?!! Al Gore has more going on intellectually, creatively, politically, morally, and any other -ly, than any of the morans on that panel.

The good news is that we are now much more highly attuned to "spinning" and shilling and recognize it for the excrement that it is.
