U.S. Ranger describes slaughtering Iraqi Civilians
Ex -US soldier: 'If he didn't answer the way we liked, we would shoot his youngest kid in the head'
May 21, 2006

Jessie Macbeth, a Former Army Ranger and Iraq War Veteran Tells All

This 20 minute interview will change how you view the U.S. occupation of Iraq forever. I cannot possibly recommend this more highly. An Iraq war veteran tells of atrocities he and other fellow-soldiers committed reguarly while in Iraq. I have never seen this level of honesty from a U.S. soldier who directly participated in the slaughtering of Iraqis.

Excerpts:

"When we were doing the night raids in the houses, we would pull people out and have them all on their knees and zip-tied. We would ask the man of the house questions. If he didn't answer the way we liked, we would shoot his youngest kid in the head. We would keep going, this was our interrogation. He could be innocent. He could be just an average Joe trying to support his family. If he didn't give us a satisfactory answer, we'd start killing off his family until he told us something. If he didn't know anything, I guess he was SOL."

and

"For not speaking out, I feel like I'm betraying my battle-buddies that died."

Something tells me this is bogus. Shooting kids in the head because the old man didn't come up with good answers? Our military is capable of some pretty cold shit, but this takes all.

Lawmaker: Marines killed Iraqis ‘in cold blood’

WASHINGTON - A Pentagon probe into the death of Iraqi civilians last November in the Iraqi city of Haditha will show that U.S. Marines "killed innocent civilians in cold blood," a U.S. lawmaker said Wednesday.

From the beginning, Iraqis in the town of Haditha said U.S. Marines deliberately killed 15 unarmed Iraqi civilians, including seven women and three children.

One young Iraqi girl said the Marines killed six members of her family, including her parents. “The Americans came into the room where my father was praying,” she said, “and shot him.”

(snip)

Military officials say Marine Corp photos taken immediately after the incident show many of the victims were shot at close range, in the head and chest, execution-style. One photo shows a mother and young child bent over on the floor as if in prayer, shot dead, said the officials, who spoke to NBC News on condition of anonymity because the investigation hasn't been completed.

7. K/R. I couldn't get this onto YouTube since it was 20 min long.
It needs to be broken up into two seperate vids (the max they allow is 10 min unless you have a director account). Could someone be kind enough to split it into two parts and post on YouTube... and then post a link? Thanks.

Here is the info I used before it was rejected...

13. I don't doubt him
How widespread it is I don't know, but that it happens I don't doubt a bit. There's an open letter written by a Vietnam combat vet that when I read it I was struck by the similarities between the stuff I'd seen in people coming out of the prison systems and with what I was reading, same PTSD. Here's the quote from it that struck me, sounds like what this kid is going to go through too.

Until that baby was silenced, though, and here's the important thing to understand, that baby never surrendered her humanity. I did. We did. That's the thing you might not get until it's too late. When you take away the humanity of another, you kill your own humanity. You attack your own soul because it is standing in the way.

So we finish our tour, and go back to our families, who can see that even though we function, we are empty and incapable of truly connecting to people any more, and maybe we can go for months or even years before we fill that void where we surrendered our humanity, with chemical anesthetics--drugs, alcohol, until we realize that the void can never be filled and we shoot ourselves, or head off into the street where we can disappear with the flotsam of society, or we hurt others, especially those who try to love us, and end up as another incarceration statistic or a mental patient.

19. WAR is terror.
It is very hard to think this is possible, but not hard to imagine this is the plan.

We all know democracy is a ruse, we all know that WMD was a ruse, all we really know is we haven't been told the real reason we are there, just that it was very very important for Bushco to go, and to go at all costs, lying to congress, the senate the people, didn't matter, had to be done.

As to the why, there is a million reasons, and we speculate here, every day. Suppress the Iraq Oil, help corporations set the cost of oil higher, OPEC, Chevron, Shell, etc, all make money. Boatloads. Take the oil, America solves the gas prices and rapes the resource. This is the Peak Oil Philosophy. Un-stabilize the entire middle east to establish US control on all the oil. Neo-Con 101.

Who really knows. We didn't go there for any of the reasons we have been given, government plans may have 10-50 year goals.

Regardless, we didn't go there to free them from a tyrant, we went to bully, grab and pillage. Of course it doesn't matter that a few, many or lots of people die for standing in the way, or fighting for their patriotism, defending their family, hope or country. They are completely disposable.

20. The war is going to get even more vicious on both sides. Deaths will
escalate dramatically. The Mideast will not take this lying down and I don't blame them.

All the while Bush thinks he is a saint/genius for "bringing democracy to Iraq."

God help us all.

21.  If what this guy said is true
why isn't he being charged with his crimes?

Confessing to crimes does not exempt one from being charged with those crimes.

Could it be that the Military is ignoring this man because they don't wish to admit to these deeds? Or maybe they don't feel that he is credible?

I am not doubting that some US troops have commited atrocities in Iraq and Afghanistan but this confession seems to be over the top.

25. If what he says is true
in his debriefing in Kuwait he was told he wouldn't be charged with anything.

I'm thinking Rangers had different orders than other troops. Could be they handled a lot of the "dirty work". Our very own little SS.

And it is more than a few rogue soldiers. This is B crime family way of business.
I was telling my friend the other day that I don't think the pretzeldunce cares who dies. As long as people are dying, but not his family or his cronies. As a dem. he still gives dubby a lot of room saying that he thinks dubby cares about "our" guys. Pissah, he is evil through and through and does not belong as the head of the "greatest demoncracy" that we once knew.

35. I think this might be BS....
I have a friend who went through RIP and went on to be an Army Ranger (he is a very liberal person and now out of the Army). I showed him this video and he said the guy was full of shit in regards to being a Ranger. Hey I don't care for Bush or Republicans because if I did I wouldn't be here. But I think we need to take this with more than just a grain of salt. For whatever reason this story was fabricated.

I wonder if Rove is behind it??????

43. I saw a Special Report on BBC about Haditha
when I was in London last month. Video footage of bullet holes in door and walls, blood splattered everywhere and a graphic account from one of the survivors, a 13 yr old Iraqi who'd lost both her parents and her grandfather. She said they'd been murdered by an enraged US patrol who'd had casualties from an IED that exploded on a road close the house.

I was surprised to not see much reporting about it here in tbe US (ya right) then read Murtha's remarks last weekend.
