"Please don't let those mean ol' Dems investigate & impeach George"
Edited on Mon May-22-06 05:18 AM by Philosoraptor
Can you believe this asinine strategy by the republicans facing November? They're actually saying that if the Dems win the house and senate this fall, they'll instantly go into hyper-revenge drive and spend the next two years being mean and nasty to the great George Bush for no reason at all other than they're just mean ol' meanies bent on getting even for Bill.

Un _______ believable.

1. It has to do with the basic character of republicans.
They do not understand fair-play, progress, humanitarian purpose, intelligence, and real American freedoms like democrats do. Pub Party attitudes like you describe reflect greed, avarice, tit for tat, stupidity..I could go on and on.

2. Translation: They will apply the law and restore the
constitution, shame on them.

3. I'm sure that the backwash is terrified at the prospect...
This particular bugaboo won't work well with the curious, though.

WHAT ARE THEY HIDING?

4. How could they think otherwise?
If the shoe were on the other foot, that is EXACTLY what their mission would be. They can't imagine the Dems wouldn't do otherwise as well. They have already impeached a Dem president with absolutely no justifiable cause and would do it again given the chance. Such is the nature of the guilty, guilty Rethug! :spank: :puke:

6. The Dems should counter...
...that they will dig down to the truth of what has happened in this country since 9/11 and give people the answers they've been waiting for. Only with the truth, can an effective course of action be taken. And nothing will get between a Democratic congress and their search for the truth, not even if it means impeaching a crooked president.

7. Their “scare” tactic may work against them
With a 67% DISapproval rating, the promise of impeaching * may bring the voters out in droves, all voting Dem for that exact purpose.

9. Hadn't thought of it that way.
Thanks GOP! Since Dems appear to be to timid to campaign on this issue, we appreciate you doing it for them.

8. I wish it were true.
Dems would get a lot of votes by promising justice (impeachment). But Nancy et al are too wimpy to do that.

11. I Saw Something Yesterday
A sign on the side of the freeway that says "impeach". And San Diego is supposed to be *so* conservative. I saw it in the morning, & it was still there later in the day when I went by again. No one had taken it down. So this is more than just being "mean". Stupid Republicans. We aren't doing this just because we're horrible people. We are trying to save our country.

12. This may surprise you
The CITY of San Diego is Dem while the COUNTY of San Diego (wealthy outlying areas) is Repug.

Came across those stats in 2004, but alas no longer have the link.
