Imus has racist lackey impersonating Ray Nagin once again
not only does he give him a forum to impersonate the newly re-elected Ray Nagin, he sits backs and laughs about it. Only more proof those that control MSNBC programming condone this conduct. They could have gave Imus a final warning last time they did this, but I guess they think only like minded people tune in.

6. I too ignore Imus
although have a penchant for channel surfing at times. I'm a liberal that has human male traits. Channel surfing while on the couch. At least I worked out today before channel surfing.

4. Imus has some sick fu*kers on there
When that clown does Cardinal whatever with the Fedex hat, they all whoop and say "Lord, hear our prayer".
They are mostly racist scumbags and Imus has a long way to go to be normal himself. He's all over the map.

5. Maybe it is just me but bald-faced racism really seems to be in this year
It has been coming back for a while, but now it is really cool to be racist in public. We have been bombing the hell out of "brown" people in Iraq for years. All of a sudden, there are too many brown immigrants coming to take all our stuff from us. Our government last year committed in NOLA what I still believe to be racial genocide, and the media harped on "looters" until I cried. Comedy shows are like listening to Archie Bunker. The shock-jocks are coming up with crap like you have mentioned. We suddenly have to have legislation to make SURE that the National Anthem is sung in God's language, English. Then there is this Tarbaby-gate here on DU. I am left to assume that some time later this year, the networks are going to bring back live minstrel shows.

10. That guy isn't a racist (who?)
Edited on Mon May-22-06 08:15 AM by BullGooseLoony
He's on the show a lot, and he's in fact very fair- and even intelligent.

Or...are you talking about the guy that impersonated Dr. Phil? Does Clinton?

Or someone else?

12. Forgive me, but how do you know he's a racist?
Is it simply because a white man is doing an impression of a black man..? Would you feel differently if he were doing an impression of Clarence Thomas? Is it patently racist for a white man to do an impression of a black man? If so, why? Is it likewise racist for a black man to do an impression of a white man? IF not, why?

Racism is a serious charge. It should not be thrown around haphazardly.

13. Because I've watched the guy a number of times, and his
anti-intellectual, tough guy facade is exactly what leads to racism.

14. With all due respect, but what are the limits of entertainment?
If we were to eliminate "anti-intellectual, tough guy" types, a lot of comedians (including Colbert's television character)would be out of work.
