What's a conservative supposed to do? I heard, with my own ears, Lindsay Graham say to Russert that "We control the House, Senate and White House. There's nobody to blame but ourselves"

Possibly the first time I have ever agreed with this particular asshole.

What's a conservative to do? Every single thing these assholes have touched has turned to shit. Iraq is a nightmare, the rich get richer, gas prices through the roof, endless foreign debt, spying, torture, you name it. Everything they touched has turned to shit. Which is problematic for them, as they're hoping to get re-elected. They can't campaign on their accomplishments, what they actually did, so they're off campaining on what they're gonna do. Immigration. The one thing they haven't fucked up, by the simple virtue of doing nothing at all with the issue for over a decade.

All of a sudden they care about immigration, and the plight and exploitation of the illegals who are here. All of a sudden. Sure..

Immigration = current news cycle
Iraq = old news
Gas Prices = old news

Maybe a new law that people of different races can't marry each other anymore.

I was listening to Wash Journ this morning. I was astounded by how many people WANT the media to be spied upon and arrested. Don't these people think? Can't they see what a fettered, controlled and lapdog press gets them in the future? Did they already forget about the USSR, Hitler, Mao and Pol Pot?
