C-Span: Future of Intelligence....Has ANYONE Watched this?
It was on this a.m....but I just watched the repeat which is still on and I'm ready to get out of America after watching this.

Here's some of what this about:

A panel with John McLaughlin (CIA under Poppy Bush), Jane Harmon (Senate Intelligence Committee), John McLaughlin (former CIA Director under Poppy Bush and who claims that he was the character Harrison Ford played in his last movie. :eyes:, George Terwillger (former Poppy Bush Adminstration Prosecutor or something) and CNN Analyst Richard Falenrath (some CNN Shill who works for the Bushies) and Candy Crowley (CNN Moderator)

That's the panel and the Democrats the "TWO" are incredibly WEAK. Frankly, as much as I dislike Harmon she has come off much better in supporting "we the people" than John Podesta (Clinton Administrator and head of our new "supposedly Liberal" Think Tank.

If you watched it and have or had any views of this horrible discussion group and if you agree with me that Jane Harmon (whom I originally disliked intensely did better than our Liberal Dem John Podesta) then PLEASE REPLY!

This Panel UPSET ME SO MUCH I WANT TO GET OUT OF HERE...and I'm ready to CANCEL my "updates" from CAP because Podesta SUCKS!

What did YOU DU'ERS THINK?

1. Harmon kisses too much Shrub-ass for my liking
In fact, reports are coming out that Nancy Pelosi is moving to have Harmon step down from the House Intelligence Committee because of that

Of course I just say, support Marcy Winograd! Only three weeks till the primary! :loveya:

3. Harmon is co-authoring a bill with John Conyers to support FISA but
I think it's because she's got another contender on her "heels" and she wants to keep her job so we moved her LEFT!

GOOD ON YOU!!!!! For Harmon to Support FISA means that when we Dems run candidates against them...they will turn to save their own life!

Many thanks for this post! :D It makes me feel very good. Now if I could just do something about John Podesta.......besides cancelling my subscription to "Center for American Progress" updates...then I would be VERY HAPPY!

2. I saw it--6 Repukkkes (counting Crowley)
vs the intrepid Podesta, who, pardon me, has a stutter. He is not the best debater, even though he is usually prepared with facts. They beat him on time, though.

And Harman (apparently) cannot decide if she is a Democrat or a Republican, though she did stick with her (quietly expressed) opinion that the program is not legal.

The bullies won that one. Big Time.

9. You know...I've seen her do some good Dem favoring reports on CNN
and sort of got upset when DU'ers called her "Candy COWLY."

I'm not sure what I think about her having seen her do some good stuff. But, I kinda thought on this "Brookings Institute" (Brookings is supposedly more Moderate...leaning to Dem Think Tank) that I could start to sling some "epithets" at her myself....:-(

4. I Saw That It Was Coming This AM And Decided NOT To Even
got there. I'm so very glad I have a DISH because otherwise I just don't know what I would watch. Last Friday a guy called in on Washington Journal and asked Brian "Why didn't you play the Colbert tape?" Brain said they covered and played it again, but the guy came back at him and said
you played the man imitating Bush, but you never played Colbert again. Brain Lamb said that he could go to C-Span and watch it there again.

So when they started with this panel this AM, I decided I wasn't even going to watch. I'm now down to watching Lou Dobbs, Keith Olbermann and Democracy Now for my news. But I do try to watch Washington Journal every morning because I like to hear what the people are saying.

Of course, I also watch C-Span when needed, but even decided not to watch the Hayden thingie!!

6. I watched it for awhile and got the impression they were.................
....pretty much WH Idiot apologists. I don't have a problem with them saying there are just certain issues they can't or won't discuss but not one of them said straight out that the WH Idiot had abused his power or anything like that. In all fairness though Jane Harmon hinted at that and maybe being the Intelligence Committee that's all she or anyone else could do. FISA came up for discussion but no one made an issue of warrants not being sought more often except Harmon. I was pretty disappointed but like I said maybe they couldn't get into anything else without violating some secrets that doesn't need violating right now. It's got to be a real tightrope trying to serve on that Committee and also inform the public.

10. The "Question and Answer" was the BEST of the whole thing...and I
don't blame you for turning it off before then. I was tempted ...actually hit the button to turn off..but then clicked back on.

the "Q&A" was MUCH better because you got to see from the question the REAL differences. But the weakness of Podesta, the strength of Harmon was OVER POWERED by the Right Wing "Nazi" and (believe me..I'm not tossing "Nazi" around lightly here...I grew up after WWII and take this SERIOUSLY) who kept saying that NATIONAL SECURITY, IMPERIAL PRESIDENCY who needs to ACT QUICKLY...and not be bothered with these "pesky/puny" Domestic Laws that "IMPEDE THEIR RIGHTS TO GET IN OUR UNDERWEAR" was the declaration by the three RIGHT WINGERS on the Panel.

It said to me...that when richard Falkenrath appears on CNN or on NPR then I want to immediately hit my MUTE BUTTON. He's a toad!

8. Only two Dems on that Panel and they didn't put forth talking points like
the three Repug/Nazi's (believe me they were Nazi's) who took all the talking time ...giving the "audience and C-Span Viewers, the feeling that THEY (the 3) new MORE ABOUT SPYING and "9/11" than did Podesta and Harmon.

Again and Again our Democrats talk for 2 Minutes while the RIGHT WING has enough "talking points and conviction of ideals and ideas" that they can take 5 or minutes and STEAL THE SHOW!

After all this time and money...even the "Center for American Progress" our new Dem Think Tank can't even EXPLAIN THEIR POSTION in a way that's as "cool" as McLaughlin saying that Harrison Ford played HIM in a MOVIE. :puke: EGO...EGO...EGO..
