3. Ask Kissinger, Rusk, McNamara, etc.
A whole miserable flock of war criminals who are still around writing books and being toasted.

4. Well when you own everything.....
It's tough to take you down. There really is no one to stop them from doing whatever they want. At the end of the day there is always the Presidential Pardon.

13. Yes but did they not manipulate the law so they aren't subject?
I believe they did before they started the war. They cannot be held accountable by International Law.

15. That Law Can Be Changed
If enough comes out so that we have the votes to IMPEACH them
(that's 2/3 in the Senate, so Repubs would have to be on board),
we have the votes to change such laws.

The issuance of blanket pardons following impeachment might
annoy Congress enough to turn them over to the ICC.

16. An Interesting Angle On The Rome Statute
Afghanistan is listed among the countries that has signed this.

Would that not give the ICC jurisdiction over any war crimes that go on there?

they probably will not suffer anything more than the judgment of history, and even Dubya himself has said that ultimately won't matter because they'll all be dead and won't know it. This of course is quite a departure from Lincoln's words below (Sorry, Abe. I hate to even mention that little fool in the same breath with you. I do it only for the sake of contrast.):

"Fellow-citizens, we cannot escape history. We of this Congress and this administration, will be remembered in spite of ourselves. No personal significance, or insignificance, can spare one or another of us. The fiery trial through which we pass, will light us down, in honor or dishonor, to the latest generation."

--From the December 1, 1862 Message to Congress

If it's any consolation though, I love your username.

10. If the convicted criminals from the Nixon era are serving in
this administration are any indication....then we may be in trouble. I got a feeling that the American public is going to have something to say about this....Negroponte comes to mind....someone correct me if I am wrong...

same folks reappearing for DECADES.. There are some rather young ones in the republican party who will just wander off, and lick their wounds for a while and emerge from their caves..ready to fight again..

These people are like demented Energizer-vampires.. they are always looking for blood..(OP blood) and they are next to impossible to eliminate permanently..

18. The Hague would be the place for justice.
But this administration would declare war on The Netherlands before they would ever have to face justice there. After all, justice would interfere with their war on "terra-ists".
