Flippin hell, they GAVE the terrorists Iraq, ceded a hunk of Afghanistan BACK to the Taliban, and largely ignore the trouble in Pakistan ostensibly for fear of stepping on Mubarak's toes. The US isn't shrinking terrorist areas; it's building playgrounds and recruitment centers for them.

The fact is someone needed to say "Hasn't the area in which terrorists could operate freely GROWN since we invaded Iraq? Before the war, the area in which terrorists could operate freely was a small enclave in the mountains surrounded by US-allied troops. We told those troops to stand down and let Zarqawi travel to Baghdad for a doctor's appointment so we could prove that Saddam supported the Terrorists!!!!"
