Connect bin Laden tape and sighting: CIA slap at Bush and Bush PR reply
That bin Laden Moussaoui tape was so pointedly embarassing for the Bushies that it was almost a perfect mirror opposite to the helpful tape that came out right before the election, and the intelligence analysts saying it's authentic seems like an added FU to Bush.

Then all of the sudden Bush's pals in Pakistan claim bin Laden came down a mountain, which obviously was so high no troops could climb it, helicopters could fly there, or satellites could see it.

It looks like a Wag the Dog PR war to neuter Bush's terrorist-fighting bona fides. I hope the more noble liars win.

1. However, this is all in conflict with the prevalent cynical view that UBL
exists only to assist bush - a view that I don't share.

4. there may be a real person still, but like Zarqawi, everything we hear is
serving a purpose.

Too many of bin Laden's diatribes have sounded like a Karl Rove script to embarrass the Democrats and make Bush look good, and the timing has usually been when Bush needed the boost.

My point was in this case, the content didn't hurt Bush, but the tape itself could be just as fake--just faked by someone else.

3. Looks like the BFEE didn't 'purge' all the people from the CIA
who could still think for themselves. Expect a new 'purge' soon. :eyes:
