2. I think google may target the ads based on what it thinks you'd be
interested in, based on what they know about you based on your IP address and surfing habits?

The ads I'm seeing seem quite random, but that could be due to google not having much of a database on me. Right now, in this thread, I see one for "Japan political science", one for "Prophecy news watch" and another saying "Don't import from China". They kinda missed the target with those 'targeted ads', lol.
