Before I sign off, any news on the GJ or Fitz or Rove?
I've scanned for posts on this topic all evening, and I haven't found anything. Does the GJ meet tomorrow? Any potential at all for a Rove indictment, or is that completely off the table?

distracting us with Karl Rove's indictment?

Sheesh!

_______
I haven't heard any new updates. Fitz seems to keep his cards close to his chin.

12. True story ...

I have a friend, who in an alcohol induced moment of too-much-honesty years ago proclaimed to our circle of friends that he had a foot fetish. We of course teased him incessantly.

He sent me an e-mail with a link to that pic tonight. His only comment was, "I DIDN'T DO IT!"

I laughed for five sold minutes.

:toast:

2. Mostly digestion of the last Libby filing for a while.
Libby looks like he's in deeper and deeper trouble.

Rove's not indicted yet, so Fitz is keeping info on that locked very tight.

4. Any news on Pitt and Leopold? I saw Pitt has been busy writing. Has
Leopold written anything since the T.O. article on Rove or do you know? I hope they are both O.K.

9. Leopold's kept his head down while his TruthOut editor gave a
partial apology and a "we're standing by the core of our story" and basically said stay tuned.

Dunno about Will but, I have a lot more sympathy for Will than for Leopold in this.

I'm not seeking to push this story beyond what it can bear. Rove's in deep trouble, but Libby is in far, far deeper trouble... hmm, that's right, we learned that Novak gave Rove a "you won't go down this time like in Bush Sr's campaign, I'll make sure of that" and Rove testified, get this, he didn't know what Novak was talking about and found it a very curious conversation.

The grand jurors must've felt Rove and Libby thought they were the stupidest people on the face of the earth.

Note that Fitz cannot say anything about Rove's situation directly, but he CAN slowly dribble this out through the Libby case to squeeze people and try to make them flip. Unless Rove is indicted, the WHIG crowd has an awful lot to digest and a lot of guessing to do about how much Fitz really has.

14. Wow, thanks. Nice summation in a nutshell. I'd heard about all of this
except for the conversation with Novracula and turdblossom; that's interesting. Also, the likelihood of Cheney being called in as witness for his NYT's article scribblings! Also, something H20 Man posted in a thread yesterday which I found fascinating...one of Leopold's articles mentioned in the trial. Makes one wonder how much or if Leopold has been used by Rove et al as an intentional messenger which they could discredit!

Hope this makes sense; I'm half asleep.

10. I think that's a wild theory myself. That'd mean Rove's fliped
And I don't see how Rove would ever flip AND keep working for President Bush as a supposedly loyal advisor.

21. I don't see anything in this post that would indicate
someone, anyone beating a dead horse - well, except for the cartoon obviously :)

Don't we ALL want Rove Indicted? Seems like a valid question to me..

23. I've seen stages of denial and facts or facts ignored
and people who tell others what to believe or belittling them, and others who try to shut people up and the worst of all is people trying to circumvent or shut people up..

There nothing wrong with disagreeing, but shutting someone up is not the way to go no matter how it's employed either as a group or as innuendo..

Did she say that anyone was WRONG? Or is that something you decided to infer? Looks to me like she wanted to know what had happened.

So now we are supposed to be mind readers, and in doing so infer that someone else should know better, what's on someone else's mind that they don't want to hear about?

Pretty out there if you ask me.

24. Again
If you think people don't notice who does the piling on, you're sadly mistaken. People do notice, this isn't an innocent post about Rove and if you want to play like it is, then I have to wonder about some of the piling on that you've chosen to do in the past too.

25. Truth Out scrubbed their homepage of the indictment story
You can still find it buried through the Fitzgerald calling or their blog link.

But it's nowhere to be found on the homepage.

I would call that a stealth retraction.
