Poll question: Who's your vice presidential choice for 2008?
If you have already read the text on my presidential poll (Here: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=364x1288819), don't bother with the text here as it's virtually identical.

OK, the other day I asked for everyone's ideal '08 ticket, and was surprised to find a fairly high degree of agreement. The main question on GD, at least that day, seemed to be, Should Russ Feingold be #1 or #2? (Oh, link: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=364x1273588) Therefore, instead of doing a poll on the best ticket, I'm doing two polls, one for each half of the ticket.

Let's make this one a demilitarized zone, too. Take attacks on candidates to your own dadgum thread. Thanks in advance!

For those who say, "It's 2006! We have to focus on this year's elections! Don't ask this until 2007!" there is a reply to this effect. But think about it; I'm just asking the question, requiring at most 10 seconds thought and maybe 10 seconds more to click on a poll choice. I'm pretty sure this won't dilute anyone's focus on 2006 noticeably.

The names on both polls will be largely the same; I'm not sure I'll be surprised if Feingold wins both.

3. This is a ridiculous question at this point
Since a VP does nothing, it's not like there are any skills needed. It's just a question of what they add to the ticket.

Since we don't have a nominee, you can't determine who the VP should be.

Feingold is interesting if someone like Clark is the nominee. He would be a disastrous choice if someone like Hillary or Kerry is the nominee.

4. Sure. I wanted to do a Favorite Ticket poll along the lines
of the previous non-poll thread linked in the OP, but it would have been the same names rearranged over and over. (Gore/Clark, Gore/Feingold, Clark/Feingold, Feingold/Clark, etc. etc.) Rather than do that, I just ran two polls. I was mainly curious whether, as it looked from the earlier thread, Feingold would win both (as I also mention in the OP). Didn't quite turn out that way.

8. RFK Jr.
Because no one had voted for him yet and because I want Clark for President. I would accept Clark for VP only if Gore was the nominee for President.

9. I agree with you about a Gore/Clark ticket
I would accept Clark for VP no matter who the nominee was, of course. Our next adminstration will be a better one with him there, in whatever capacity.

But Gore, having already been elected our rightful President (and being one of my favorite guys, besides), is the only nominee whose name wouldn't bug me to see before Clark's on the ticket.
