7. Rachel's story about her activism against Gore was way cool
She went to a campaign speech when he was running for his 2nd term as VP and held up a banner about AIDS in Africa with some of her friends. Rachel said he made sure she wouldnt get arrested and later met with AIDS activists and they changed their policy. Very interesting.

8. Rachel said Al Gore was the Cynic-slayer
and Al loved it. Said he should put it on his business card.

Rachel also said that when she attended the Town Hall viewing of Gore's movie, as Gore walked on stage, he was greeted enthusiastically like rock stars are. Al Gore the political rock star!!

Al was very good in the interview. He came across as the guy you want to have a cup of java with and talk about global warming and how to resolve it. Gore was very personable in this interview.

And yes, I hope he runs for Prez in 2008. We need a moral leader.

9. We sure did greet Gore like a rock star! I was at the Town Hall meeting —
they didn't show the film, BTW, it was a forum with Laurie David, David Bender (the producers of the film) and James Hansen from NASA who first did computer studies of global warming). Al Gore is a most remarkable man.

11. Incredible. The audience was given cards to write questions —
and the town hall meeting was moderated by the wonderful John Hockenberry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Hockenberry) and at least half of the large stack of cards asked THE QUESTION, but Al really didn't want to talk about that.

BTW, Chelsea Clinton was there.

I'll write more later. I'm in the office and got to get something done.
