25. Prediction: It will most likely be these 15
that voted for civil liberties and a civilian-run CIA. The rest are hardly Americans, much less Democrats today.

Harkin (IO) 88.9
Lautenberg (NJ) 83.3
Boxer (CA) 83.3
Kerry (MA) -DLC 77.8
Kennedy (MA) 77.8
Feingold (WI) 77.8
Durbin (IL) 77.8
Sarbanes (MD) 72.2
Reed (RI) 72.2
Mikulski (MD) 72.2
Levin (MI) 72.2
Akaka (haw) 72.2
Obama (IL) 69.4
Wyden (OR) 66.7
Leahy (VT) 66.7

I bet I'm right about at least 12 of the 15.

29. Looks like we posted our lists at the same time.
Here's the list of the 7 that didn't vote. I don't know WHY they didn't vote but it's the same 7 that didn't vote on Kavanaugh's confirmation. If they bailed early to get a head start on the long weekend they can all go to hell as far as I'm concerned.

27. Here's a list of the traitors.
Note: Jeffords is an Independent but I included him in the list just to show how he voted.

Supposed "Democratic" asshats that voted yea:

Akaka (D-HI)
Baucus (D-MT)
Biden (D-DE)
Bingaman (D-NM)
Byrd (D-WV)
Carper (D-DE)
Feinstein (D-CA)
Jeffords (I-VT)
Johnson (D-SD)
Kohl (D-WI)
Landrieu (D-LA)
Lautenberg (D-NJ)
Leahy (D-VT)
Levin (D-MI)
Lieberman (D-CT)
Lincoln (D-AR)
Mikulski (D-MD)
Murray (D-WA)
Nelson (D-FL)
Nelson (D-NE)
Pryor (D-AR)
Reed (D-RI)
Reid (D-NV)
Sarbanes (D-MD)
Schumer (D-NY)
Stabenow (D-MI)

The few that voted nay:

Bayh (D-IN)
Cantwell (D-WA)
Clinton (D-NY)
Dayton (D-MN)
Dodd (D-CT)
Dorgan (D-ND)
Durbin (D-IL)
Feingold (D-WI)
Harkin (D-IA)
Kennedy (D-MA)
Kerry (D-MA)
Menendez (D-NJ)
Obama (D-IL)
Specter (R-PA)
Wyden (D-OR)

Why the hell the Dems couldn't have at least put up a fight is beyond me. Apparently they don't feel they even need to put on the bogus dog-and-pony show anymore. Opposition party my ass. I see little difference between the Repugs and the Dems at this point. Fuck 'em all.

30. I see Cantwell voted No and Feinstein voted Yes
Doesn't Cantwell have a tough primary battle coming up? Feinstein managed to avid a primary challenge.

I guess that shows there is some use to primary challenges.

Lieberman vote Yes. He is a hopeless case.

36. Looks like you're right about Cantwell.
I wasn't familiar with her so I had to look it up but here's what wikipedia has to say:

Cantwell also has opposition from the progressives in the Democratic primary. She will face Mark Wilson, the Green Party candidate for Senate in 2004 who is running in 2006 as a Democrat, and Hong Tran, a North Seattle fair housing lawyer who announced her candidacy on April 22, 2006.

In the November general election, there will also be a Green Party opponent: Aaron Dixon, former captain of the Seattle chapter of the Black Panther Party and longtime community activist, who secured the Green Party's nomination for U.S. Senate on May 13, 2006. Dixon plans to challenge Cantwell on her continued support for the U.S. presence in Iraq and the USA PATRIOT Act.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maria_Cantwell

And from looking through the Washington forum here, it looks like she's not too well-liked in her home state. I don't think the "nay" vote will help her all that much as it appears she's another Bushbot with a D after her name. One poster called her a Lieberman if that gives you any clue. (Oh man, what an insult!)

And yeah, the Lieberman "yes" vote was a real shocker. :sarcasm: Pack your bags Joe. Ned will be taking your spot.

And only won her last race by about 54 votes. I have been ragging her ass for 4 years.

ONLY ONE. Arlen Specter.

The Dems had damn well better learn a freakin' lesson about party discipline. Look at the Dems who voted to confirm! What the heck is THAT all about???

Thank you, to the Dems who voted Nay. We knew who you were before we even read the list: Feingold, Kennedy, Kerry, Cantwell, Dorgan, Durbin, Obama, et al. Thank you, few though you may be, for having a spine.

35. What the heck is up with the Dems? Good question.
As I said in another post, if ALL the Dems, including those that didn't vote at all, had voted "nay," the tally would have been 54-46. The asshat Hayden would have still been confirmed but the Dems would have come out looking a LOT better. So why couldn't they be bothered to even pretend so show some opposition and vote against confirming the bastard? I ugess they figure their jobs are safe so they don't even have to pretend anymore. The Dems are nothing but GOP-lite and frankly I've had it with them. Fuck 'em all. I'm voting third-party from now on.
