Chris Matthews on Dick Cheney (Cheeney)

I must have missed the reason for this but if you take a look at this first minute of this video, Matthews pronounces Cheney's name as "Cheeney". I think he started this right after Cheney shot up his lawyer friend's face in Texas. Does anyone know why Matthews says it that way?

1. I think he heard or read that's the way it's pronounced so he does

so, probably realizing he's the only ass in the country that uses that pronunciation.
But I have a HUGH!1! problem with Tweets comparing dimson to Lincoln.:banghead:
