Every war crime must be glossed over with just the right word before being presented to the brain dead Americans.

Missteps. I'd hate to see an outright catastrophe if this is a misstep.

1. What a wonderful euphemism
For attacking a country in violation of international law, killing and maiming hundreds of thousands, destroying a country's stability, torturing people, bankrupting the U.S. and destroying the infrastructure of one of the oldest civilizations on the planet.

"misstep"

Reminds me of someone walking through a flower garden and accidentally stepping on a tulip....oops, I'm sorry, it was a misstep.

Rovian for sure

2. Amen. And dimson thinks his biggest mistake was to utter
stupid words, instead of acknowledging all the people who are dead as a result of his actions.
His priorities are telling.

And did I mention sickening?

3. Mistakes were made.

The steps that took us into Iraq were all missteps--yet they all went in a singular direction somehow, east, over an international border. Hard to see that as an innocent accident. The endless march of lies masquerading as "intelligence" that scouted the path for the invasion were all steps in the wrong direction too, a criminal journey which should end on a scaffold.

5. Oops! They did it again, they goofed up & killed 2,500 Soldiers.
And untold thousands of innocents, just a slight miscalculation, a mere foul up, everybody messes up sometime.

7. Do tell. Does that scaffold come with a complimentary black hood?

4. Hitler misstepped too
He had to pay for it afterwards, though.

6. Mis-step, mistake, FUBAR
all pretty much the same. Depends on who their target audience is.
