Scarborough: Blair makes Bush look ignorant
I know, stating the obvious. However, I found it most interesting that after the presser last evening, Tweety was going on about how "Lincolnesque" * was with his admission of mistakes, but "Regular Joe" came out and stated the obvious: Blair comes out with * and makes him look/sound like a boob. He lamented the fact that Blair can string a coherent sentence together, but "our pResident" cannot. Frankly, I found it to be rather striking coming from a Puke talking head.

But Scarborough has surprised me like that several times lately, post-Katrina.

19. It isn't just Blair.
Every world leader makes Bush look like an uncultured, ignorant boob. I really shouldn't be insulting boobs: boobs have a purpose in life.

Just how long did it take Joe Scarborough to figure that one out?

3. For lots of people,
such a revelation is heartening. For ole JS, it's pitiful. He's been in W's corner for years, and nowadays all of this "turnaround" sounds just like empty pandering and makes him look like a fool. Sure this talk is nice to hear on TV, but a lot of us spoke up when it WASN'T safe or popular to do so.
Joe's a tool, forget him.

12. Sure, it's easy to pile on now
And you are correct, that we were shouting this in 2000 or before. But it is surprising to hear it coming from (a) the MSM, (b) a Puke (pardon my redundancy), since Pukes think everyone is supposed to "respect the office" and "respect our President."

And I think that may open just a few more eyes among the vast sleeping public.

26. My dog, Scot, makes that moron look ignorant. He's whistle trained...
does, Sit, down and stay to either verbal or hand signals. The AWOL/moron had signs placed in the White house bathrooms for his benefit that say, "Remove Pants before shitting."

39. I assume
That he meant "Lincolnesque" in the sense that he stood at the podium looking confused and wondering what he was doing there since he died in 1865.

15. Careful...I think this is a Rovian strategy
Edited on Fri May-26-06 01:07 PM by Diane R
Rove wants republicans elected in '08. He reads the poll numbers. I think the new strategy is to acknowledge Bush's incompetence.....so the republicans can distance and distinguish themselves from him.

Rove wants voters to think, "I don't agree with Bush, and I don't like his policies. But, I still want REPUBLICANS in charge, and MY republican is a good guy".

Watch the media guys who have started mildly criticizing Bush. They are NOT going to be supporting democrats, or a democratic congress. I think they are being positioned to help republicans be elected, in spite of the electorate's feelings about bush.

16. When people like Scarborough make statements like this, I just want to
scream. These people spent years trying to sell the rest of us the bill of goods that marketed Little Boots as compassionate, charming, actually smarter and brighter than he looks and acts--even brilliant. Remember the old chorus of "he'll be seen as the greatest President in history." We tried to tell them then that we recognized the spin for what it was. I want the Dems who do go on their shows to rub their noses in their complicity in supporting and advertising this trainwreck of a government. Those who would not acknowledge the truth when is was stark naked. I want them to be confronted by any Dem they invite on their program about the whiplash about-faces they are now pulling to save their sorry snivelling poor excuses for a career now that the winds of change are blowing toward the left.

21. I wonder why they did that?
Interesting point: why did they decide to present Blair and Bush together last night? Blair is obviously superior to Bush in every way possible: as a speaker, leader, intellectually, even in the looks department. Bush, on the other hand, looks like the village idiot who escaped from his caretakers.

Sometimes I've wondered about Bush's media people. These folks are the créme de la créme in media matters. Many of them have experience in TV, communications, they have advanced degrees in psychology, they have taken the president's image and turned it into an art form, almost bordering on religious experience. They have truly turned a sows' ear into a silk purse. Think of Bush when he went to Mr. Rushmore to make his speech. As he spoke, they turned his head so he was directly aligned to the faces carved out of the mountainside. Slick.

But you have to wonder, sometimes. Look at Katrina. That hurricane had the nerve to strike during the summer, when the White House is checked out. Bush waited around 3 days, long after the city had drowned, to make an appearance. Actually, he made an appearance, but it was not in New Orleans. It was at a birthday party, and then he got to be a rock star and play guitar. When they finally snapped into action, they showed Bush sitting in Air Force 1, looking down at the devastation.

They say that that photo drove Bush's ratings down even further, because people saw him as helpless, just sitting there watching. Like the fool he really is.

And now Blair shows up, and drive it home just what a clown Bush really is.

Are they losing it?

30. It's not justy Scarborough. Last night I heard some right wing radio guy
Edited on Fri May-26-06 01:35 PM by Marr
saying that the country is in horrible shape, and Bush doesn't care because in a couple of years, he'll just be "back to fishing and drinking with his rich friends". This came out of Al Rantel, a real moron right-winger in Los Angeles.

Bush's support has crumbled. I think it's very telling that the only people still supporting him are people like Chris Matthews and Norah O'Donnell. They're sort of like the high school cheerleaders- they're completely out of touch with the rest of the class, just blathering away to their own "insider" world. Trying to get everyone to cheer for their clique.
