WTF???? Here it is 3:15 am, watching George Carlin on HBOCM

and in the middle of the program its stopped and a warning about offensive foul language comes on. It lasted about 3 minutes before the program restarted. BTW, its his 1978 show in Phoenix.

1. What? I've watched every George Carlin HBO special and

have never seen that happen. Maybe it was a glitch or something, because they usually do the warning before the show starts.

2. They gave the warning at the start of the show and when it hit the 1/2 way

mark they stopped the show and gave another warning, I have never seen any cable movie channal do that. It was one of those WTF moments for sure.

I'm a Carlin fan, and seem to remember something like that on one of his early shows in reference to the "words you can't say on television" controversy.

6. Yes this was the words you can't say on TV show of 78, I seen it last

week and it didn't have the warning, same station. It was in all caps, what made me wonder is why it wasn't on the last time. Every since a guy was arrested, charged and convicted for cussing on the Ausable river in michigan, I am leary of what people will pull here. The town I grew up in made the cable company stop broadcasting the playboy channel in the township area, so I freak when I see this kind of stuff, lol.

7. I have seen that also.

I guess that it was commonplace at that time. HBO was new, on his Carlin on Campus there was a lady who looked like my Grandmother also gave that warning at the beginning of the special.

9. No it was 1/2 way through the second Carlin show, the first one went right

through non stop. It started out with the R rating stuff then 1/2 way through the warning came on.
